Market Link Entrepreneur
Marketlink is an active and practical programme on the first year of the Marketing and Management Degree programme. It allows students from a variety of disciplines to develop and market their own business idea, with all profits going to charities chosen by the students themselves.
Marketlink 2019 raised just over €5,000 for Limerick Suicide Watch, Bru Columbanus, Cork City Hospital’s Children’s Club, Jigsaw Limerick and the Butterfly Club Limerick, while bringing some Christmas cheer to TUS and the local community, and adding to the funds raised since 2009. Marketlink is TUS’s eight-week multidisciplinary careers, innovation and entrepreneurship programme for 3rd Level undergraduate students studying in Limerick Institute of Technology. This programme assists students interested in areas such as finding out how to identify new business opportunities, learning how to evaluate business ideas, and developing interpersonal skills to include presentation, teamwork, networking, and communication. Students from our Marketing and Management, Social Care Work, and Accounting and Finance courses work in groups to develop their business right through from the initial concept to the final launch, which takes place at Marketlink. The event is open to TUS students, staff, local schools and members of the general public,
This year, the first year students from Marketing and Management, Enterprise & Innovation and Digital Marketing have been busy developing ideas and raising funds for Limerick based charity, Clionas (www.clionas.ie). Using idonate as their funding platform. With just one more week to go, we need your help to reach our goal of €2.500. There are lots of great prizes to be won, dinners, online fitness classes, hampers and Jerseys.
