H.E.A.C. residents Lavida Food Ltd, have launched their innovative, healthy & organic lifestyle food brand Liberto. The concept was created, nurtured and developed by Lavida founders Máiréad & Marek, two passionate foodies who feel strongly that delicious, high quality, wholesome gluten-free food should be something everyone can enjoy without compromise, foods that treat your body like it is someone you love. Currently, Liberto includes a range of very unusual pasta made from pure beans (Edamame or Black Bean) & a range of patés and sauces suitable for a vegan diet and there are plans to develop it further in 2017. All the pasta are high in protein & fibre and contain 400% fewer carbohydrates than regular wheat pasta. The initial market response has incredibly positive. In Ireland Liberto has already been listed by Dunnes Store and Supervalu and in the UK, they have secured listings with Holland & Barrett, Ocado, Amazon UK, Whole Foods Market and all the major health food wholesalers.
